Karl Lagerfeld Olympic Collection

Selfridges has secured yet another addition to its ever growing clothing empire (no don't worry its not Matalan - I think the Primark fiasco was a one off) in the form of Karl Lagerfeld's new 'Olympic Collection'. Who isn't utilizing this prestigious event?
Also available at net-a-porter, the line is housed in a new pop-up store on the third floor of Selfridges and is priced...modestly (some pieces are only £95!!).
The collection is tinged with gold throughout and will feature the Kaiser's signature collars in gold, silver and bronze (appropriate).

It all sounds a little bit like those space aged Olympic uniforms that team GB came out in during the Opening Ceremony!

To celebrate the launch, a party was held at Selfridges where Karl made a late guest appearance (4 minutes before the party was due to end) and the entirety of the party was dressed head to toe in the new collection.

Not really sure how 'Olympic' it all is as I couldn't really see Jessica Ennis running the 200m in a leather skirt and gilet but I will definitely be making a detour to Selfridges to give these the once over and pretend I can afford to buy them!
